Throughout the school day, there are several opportunities to insert brief literacy skills practice into routines and transitions. Naming a word that starts with the sound of a letter before lining up, pairing up with a partner whose name has the same number of letters as yours, and using a new vocabulary word in a sentence as you enter the classroom are just a few examples.
